The flock has been prominent in many show rings over the last decade. The greatest achievement being to capture the Supreme Championship at the Royal Welsh Show in 1994. The success was more meaningful because both the sire and the dam of the yearling ewe JJW93 073PI were home bred. In the same year JJW95 003PI won the first prize Ram Lamb class at the show. This lamb was purchased by Powell Jones from the Llanthomas flock and went on to breed the champion carcase at the RWAS in 1995.
